Go to your My Account.

There will likely be a section on the left saying 'You have x Comment Alerts'

From therein you can view the individual messages and lo, there is a 'reply' button next to the 'delete' buton.

The rest is, as they say in the Old Country, magic.

Seriously, its wonky but it does work.
