Working my way through Simon R. Green, Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, C.L. Moore, H.P. Lovecraft, and a lot of other people with interesting initials in their names.

Work my BACK-SIDE off for an ungrateful corporate shill, write, and work on my website to sell my novels (www.broken-straw.com).

Power metal revival, as well as a broad range of classic & mainstream rock 'n roll, the Killers, Wolfmother, Anarchy Club, Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin, Smashing Pumpkins, Bush, Static X, Iron Maiden, White Zombie, Rage Against the Machine, etc.

Reaper, Heroes, Daily Show, Battlestar Galactica (Edward James Olmos will beat your head in!), Smallville (Best Lex Luthor Ever), Supernatural.

Currently Washington D.C., but formerly Dallas, Texas for over 10 years.

Does Horrorclix count?

There hasn't been a decent computer RPG since Neverwinter Nights.

Call of Cthulhu, the only board game where you can go insane... repeatedly!

You are freaks and everything you do is horrible and wrong.

D&D (starting with AD&D 2nd Ed, through 3.0 and 3.5 and now with 4E), Old World of Darkness, New World of Darkness (all the flavor but none of the calories!), Exalted (both editions), Scion, Cthulhutech, Big Eyes Small Mouth (since it was just a little grey pamplet), Trinity & Aberrant (my favorite games that I never got to play)... damn... awful lotta White Wolf in this list...

I hate you and your life-draining parasites.

Magic the Gathering until I remembered why I stopped playing in the first place. Never again. And does anyone remember Rage?

Work, living in D.C., religion, anyone who drives a Ford, willfull ignorance, Family Guy, my boss, my coworkers, my customers, Tipper Gore, arrogance, lack of self-respect, PETA, rednecks, people who quote movies to make themselves look cool... You know what? This is a pretty long list, so let's just assume I hate everything equally.

Amazon.com, because I'm stuck in Washington D.C. If I was back home? Lonestar Comics in Plano. Bite me, Maddness Comics!

D&D 4E (that's right, Hate Me!), money, reading, writing, my wife, my friends, my cats (Simon & River), OWoD, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, comics, sharks, tigers, retro early 90's cartoons.

I get that a lot actually. I never meet these people, but I seem to have a bunch of dopplegangers running around.

Sorry to hear about your mugging... I only go into DC to work and only an extremely insane person would mug me when my office is right next to FBI HQ.

I gotta give them credit for moving closer to the market.  You couldn't ask for a better location that on the doorstep of SMU.  Inconvienent for me (my folks live just down the street from Richland college) but in walking distance for the SMU students with oh so much disposable income.  Let's face it... you don't go to SMU unless you've got PLENTY of money.

Not sure where the old Dr. Pepper plant was, but I don't think it moved near there.  It's Mockingbird and... dammit... that street... two or three major intersections east of 75.  Crappy location, but more room.  Pain in the BACK-SIDE to mop the floors in that place, too.

Damn!  Thanks for the info.  The next time I head back to visit the family I'll have to check out the Mockingbird location.  There was another comic/game shop across from the Dr. Pepper plant that I used to go to back in the day... do you know if that is the location that Lone Star moved to?

Sorry for the double post but I just noticed your preferred gaming store.  God how I miss Lone Star Comics!  It is the gold standard that I judge all others by and so far only a very few have come close.  The Plano location was nice but my fave was always the one out by Town East mall.  That was a bit of a hike so the one I frequented most was the one off of Preston rd.

From Plano, really, but when people get "that look" I say North Dallas.  You know how it is.  Friggin plano jackasses!  And I worked at Lonestar for about a year (check it out in my blog).  The one offa Preston got moved Mockingbird offa 75.  Yeah.  Across friggin town.

Always nice to see another Dallas transplant in the DC area.  I grew up in Dallas and lived there all my life before I joined the USAF.  Went to Lake Highlands.  How about you?
