Blog Entry: So, the entire family is gathering together this weekend for a vacation before school starts, and everyone's lives falls completely to crap. I'm actually looking forward to it. I can't think of the last time we were able to get everyone together like this, and I don't know if it'll ever happen again. Myself, my mother, my two brothers, their wives and kids will all be going down to the Cape, and be there for at least three or four days. This wouldn't be much of a gamer's blog if there wasn't any mention of gaming in it, so here comes the big swing. A common theme of the cape is sitting down around the table and playing card games, boards games, and other things of the sorts. Well, I'm hoping that I can drag my family down to the depths of gaming itself with my latest product, "Munchkin: Cthulhu" (In case you are reading the Andre, I hate you for dragging me into this mythos. I actually plan to read the books this semester, and I don't read). I played it with some college friends who aren't gamer types, and they loved it, so I'm hoping that my family will as well. It was that, or I was going to introduce them to DnD, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't go down so well. So yeah, that's what I'm looking forward to weekend! Ok, this is where I put the shameless hook for comments from you guys. I currently have "Munchkin: Cthulhu" but I want to expand my horizons and buy some of the other packs, mainly "Munchkin Fu" because I want to be an investigator who can judo chop you to submission. What are some of your favorites and why, so that I can be better informed when I make my final decision. Oh yeah! I almost forgot about this, Another favor from you guys. I know a lot of you paint miniatures, but how many of them actually make the minis themselves? And the second part, where can I go to learn how to do that myself? I plan on taking a sculpture class this semester to at least give me an intro, but are there any sites any of you know about that can help point me in the right direction?
