Subject: Better than the old days
Content: Back in the old days in the 1 st edition monster manual we used to think he was the man. You know he had this reputation for killing things and destroying worlds. The multiverse was his for the taking. Then his star faded, he was no where to be found when 2 nd edition was release and his carrier took a turn for the worst. Like most desperate celebrities he craved the lime light which led him to some poor choice. Orcus started dating other celebrates and he was seen quit a bit with Kiaransalee the Drow goddess of undead and vengeance. I guess it made sense at first, they were both into the undead thing but that was the only thing holding them together. The celestials showed up more than once on their doorstep due to domestic disturbance calls. As it turns out Orcus was just jealous of Kiaransalee success, who wouldn’t be. She’s a hot chick with great skin; she always stayed out of the sun. Her star was rising and his was not. Then one night Orcus was found dead in his celebrity villa overlooking the rives sticks. He was found naked with his skull headed wand lodged deeply in his rectum. The divine community was shocked. Kiaransalee would eventually be arrested but later acquitted by way of the divine battered goddess syndrome plea. Which stated male god flaunted the fact the female goddesses got fewer worshiper than they did because they were female. In the night in question Kiaransalee countered that claim with Loth’s worshing base as an example and that’s when all hells broke loose. Orcus pointed out that any half brained god could create a large worshiping base at the point of a sword and Loth doesn’t count he reportedly said she has a highly targeted market in just one type of elf and composed mostly of females. That’s when Kiaransalee killed him the wand being an after thought. That was not to be the end of Orcus though. He reinvented himself as Tenibrous all pimped out as the undead God. He really shook things up, going around killing some of the most powerful and oldest of the Gods. In truth most think he did a public service when he killed that Illithed god. He had regained the lime light and after a while he reconciled with Kiaransalee telling her that gaining worshipers by the threat of death was perfectly acceptable and no on likes a Demon Lord more than when he’s a sensitive Demon Lord and Kiaransalee took him back. Orcus went on to make the transition to 3.0 and 3.5 with out a problem but will he endure 4.0? Most being think so but only time will tell.
