MY RATING: 9.99

I'm an avid reader; always have been. For a long time now, most of my reading time has been devoted to RPG books, but lately I discovered Paperbackswap.com. Now I have a mounting pile of books I've always wanted to read, but was never able to find before.

I'm a decent knitter, so long as the only thing I need to do is the knit stitch. This came about because I wanted a Ravenclaw scarf. Then I wanted a Doctor Who scarf. I highly doubt I will ever knit a non-nerdy object.

These days it's Quarterstaff Games, a veritable gaming institution in my hometown of Burlington, Vermont. They've got almost everything, will order what they don't have and -- shock! -- are knowledgeable about their product.

In my wild undergraduate days in Syracuse, New York, my store of choice was Altered States, an amazing cornucopia of every brand of nerdiness you can think of. Alas, times changed and so did Altered States. But I have fond memories.

I love hanging out and talking geeks with people. To that end, I'm always on the look-out for new gaming clubs and conventions to check out. There are at least three I make a point to hit every year: Carnagecon, Northeast Wars and OGC.

Sometimes, when the dayball is overhead, I go out in the big blue room for more physical activities. I love playing frisbee, in spite of how bad I am at it.

More games are always welcome.  We still have about 10 days before we start trying to get the pre-reg book wrapped up.   Even after is fine....games may not be in the book, but they will be on the site and in the addendum at the con.

I did not get a chance to see you at OGC Saturday.  Lots of fun!

Germany has no game stores? Bzuh? (Or is that no English language game stores?)

I haven't even seen a German-language one near me. I'm not near a major city. The PX has a handful of D&D books, but I don't think that counts.
