DMing...I'm lovin it.
I love 4th ed, there I said it. I can see the issues people have with it, but I also see the potential for a wonderfully simple game to DM. I am running a bi-weekly game for my friends and I am also running a somewhat infrequent fill-in game for our Sunday group whenever our DM has something else that needs doing. I will say the two games have varying paths, and the Sunday game is in for a treat this week. I have some fun stuff planned, a return trip to town with some unexpected results...a trip... Read More

An Ode to Golon the Bloodsinger
This morning it was all going so well. Golon the Bloodsinger, my Tunnels and Trolls 3rd level Minotaur Guardian, faught his way valiantly through Rogues' Gallery. His axe was a wonderous thing to behold as it slashed through torsos and hewed heads from necks. But then it all went bad. Golon fell into darkness, becoming the latest victim of a horrid witch hag who sucked his soul from him, killing my beloved Minotaur. So I dedicated this poem to my lost Bloodsinger. In... Read More

Behold the power of Vishnewwwww!
Many many years ago, I was rolling up a new villain for my Marvel Super Heroes game. I needed a new baddie for the night for a solo fight with the team's tank. I was devoid of ideas, thus the need to roll on charts to jumpstart some creativity. The dice weren't being of much help. I rolled up a super-strong guy with four arms and the ability to generate light like a flashcube. Not having much time before the game, I declared the NPC to be named VISHNU! The backgroun... My life after the apocalypse(s)
First there was Planet of the Apes, then came Kamandi from DC comics and Jack Kirby. Sometimes I just call it Planet of Kirby. and then came Gamma World, just before Thundarr, the Barbarian came on TV on Saturday mornings. I was glad when I broke a bone and couldn't play football on Saturday AM's just so I could watch Thundarr-- Arial was so hot. Then right around 1oth grade, The Road Warrior taught us all that it was punk haircuts and sports protective gear. and while Ronald Reagan was telling... Read More

12/29/08 The New Look
The new style, Celestial, has gone live! We hope you like it. If you preferred the old look you can go to your account page and set it as your default style. To do this scroll down your account page, look on the left hand side of your screen, and you will see a box called Themes. You can choose between the classic RPGBomb style or the fresh new Celestial look. We will be updating the themes list with more styles as time goes on, so keep an eye out!
Thank you and have a Happy New Year!,
