How do you cope with a dice battle?  One player is the lead, or the only surviving combatant, the healing is low, the danger is high, and the player finds themselves alone against a few targets.  The other players, now out of the battle can do nothing but cheer them on,., In many games, But today, It struck me differently. Normally, The single combatant, cheered on by their fellows, rolls the dice, lays down the odds, the battle swings one way or the other, death is on the line..... So today I managed to get into the Battletech Fleet combat game, Aerotech. Much fun was had, by the end of the game I managed to have my flagship drift off the tables edge, my Yamamoto Battlecruiser allmost ended up drifting off the table, but she was destroyed, which suprised me as it took three heavy battleships three turns to kill it. We won, yet lost if that makes any sense.... Read More
