In the early days of my gaming group, people borrowed heavily from established fictional characters when it came to naming their characters. Through the years, I've run Aragorn, Isildur, Galadriel, Galahad, Tristan, Shasta, Covenant, Ged, Asterix, Panoramix, Obelix, Balinor, Menion, Allanon, Smeagol, Samwise, Rohan, and Strider.
