A non-D&D player's take on 4th Edition
I am not a D&D player, or "D&Dhed" as I have been found of saying since 1982, so this whole discussion of the latest "4th Edition of D&D" has been kind of amazing. While reading the problems people are having with this or that rule, or rule expansion, or rule expansion setting, not a few, as in not more than a handful of the MANY problems expressed, have been adverse to why some role-players do not like D&D. When in the gladiatorial ring in Hillsfar, do not cast necromantic spells and attract the attention of Zhentarim in the audience unless you are maki... Read More

Dealing with Dragons
Dragons . . . really. What was I thinking? Get in, get out, make a little money on the side. How hard could it be? Of course, I didn't know there were going to be dragons when I started out with all this . . . Perhaps I should start at the beginning. I was perusing the local paper, checking through the classifieds and there it was. "Immediate opening: Assistant, part-time. Must be pleasant, detail-oriented, and organized. Salary negotiable." I needed a little extra cash, so I called... Read More
