This week on Dark Heresy Theater...
Last time we joined up with the party of Inquisitor Acolytes they were about to ascend a flight of stairs deeper into the techno-catacombs... As they reached the top of the stairs they came to what appeared to be a throne chamber. The ceiling was draped in cables and foul xeno-tech. At the very center hovered an empty throne held aloft by evil forces. For a second the machinery around them flickered to life, with a hologram of the galaxy coming into focus above them. Amongst the stars strange... Read More

Skirmish '08 report
Well, Skirmish '08 is now come and gone. The stress of putting a game together, building the terrain, painting the figures, and trying to entertain some gamers is gone until next year. Skirmish is primarily a historicals convention and this is its third year and they have always been kind enough to allow my decidedly cracked games in and it's been commented that each year the game gets better and better. Also At Origins
The two robins, Peryton and Noirnevera, and I, showed up to the convention center around 4:30pm, Friday. Went over to see our Ohio gamer friends play Cthulhu Smurf, got drawn into Cthulhu over Sesame Street. A guy named Joe played Ernie, and a woman played Prairie Dawn. Another fellow played Cookie Monster of... Read More

RPG Thoughts: The bare minimum
When I start looking at a RPG, there are a few things I want to know. They are benchmarks to see if the game is going to be realistic enough to be enjoyable. This isn't to say that any of these are absolute dealbreakers, but the more of these they pass, the better I feel. Can you kill someone with one shot of a knife? This is my first big test of a combat system. In most RPG's, knives or daggers are weapons of last resort. In real life, a pocket knife being drawn makes a fight go from simple b... Read More

Keck Publishing
Hmm, what to say? I'm not much on blogging. Never kept a journal growing up, even when it was an assignment in school. I just sort of scribbled down a few events of the day and that was that.Hmm, well, I don't know if there's a policy against pimping your business here. I've seen a few others do so, so I guess it's alright. I'm just getting started with my own publishing business. I've got several projects that I've been working on in my spare time over the last few years and a couple... Read More
