Femano E Femano.. The drawn out Combat
How do you cope with a dice battle?  One player is the lead, or the only surviving combatant, the healing is low, the danger is high, and the player finds themselves alone against a few targets.  The other players, now out of the battle can do nothing but cheer them on,., In many games, But today, It struck me differently. Normally, The single combatant, cheered on by their fellows, rolls the dice, lays down the odds, the battle swings one way or the other, death is on the line..... Dungeons are classic. You enter, you search for any given exit, find out whats beyond the exit, deal with any problems, repeat. When all possible exist are exhausted, you return to the previous room. Nice simple semi-linear, understandable layout.
Personally, I dont like when a dungeon is designed purely as... Read More

Tips for Adventurer Shopping
I've never been so good at allowing players free reign on the shopping list, and when it comes down to it, shopping for your character is such a labourous activity both for players and gamesmasters. My Main problem is that 'handing over the lists' is SOooo meta gaming, rule breaking, unrealistic, bullsh*t. I cant do it, I cant stand it, I dont like it. I wont allow it. If I walk into a shop, I have no clue which product is better than another, unless I'm a biochemist, or well versed, or have gath...
