The Tipping Point
Whenever I paint, usually when it’s a challenging project, I reach a point where I look at the figure and go “this is going to look like [insert expletive here].” Usually it is around the halfway point but some times prior. I think it is lack of faith in my plan of how I’m going to paint the fig (the way a sculptor sees what they are going to sculpt out of their medium). I can’t yet see the final product, just a basecoated mass which does not yet have form or function... Read More

Confessions of a Retail Anarchist, Part 2
Stupid Customer Tricks Okay, so no one seemed to give a crap when I went with posting a bit of storytime. Well my audience’s message has been heard loud and clear. If it’s the Hate you want, it’s the Hate you’ll get! Luckily I’m feeling inspired today. So I present you with true questions from customers in retail. Remember, if you ever find yourself asking these questions, stop, think of this rant, and shut the hell up. The employee you’re about to annoy has had at leas... Read More

I Was A Teenage Chat Addict
So back in high school, like many disaffected, bitter youths, I discovered the (Old) World of Darkness (Henceforth referred to as the OWoD). It was awesome. Dark. Moody. Your character was an over-powered sociopath with awesome powers and little or no moral scale. Humanity? Pssh! That's what Paths are for, bitches! Now I had yet to draw my friends into the dark, evil fraternity of tabletop gaming (Dark Dungeons, google it young 'uns), and those gamers I... Read More

Some New Figures for WWW2
Here's some of the new stuff I got at the convention and I've been working on. The SS Battle suits: These are Vulcan Bauhaus battle suits from Warzone, I've already got one painted in winter camo, but I wanted these to be more Jungle ready since my Weird War is starting in South America. A Russian Gas Trooper, A Combat Walker, and A Doom Demon: I'm going to be using the walker as an Allied scout machine, the russian gas trooper is from Warzone, I had a small unit of... Read More

Painting Update 29 May
Rounding out the month of May I will knocked out two great figures from Hasslefree Miniatures, five (now defunct) Tactical Araktons from Void, and a Razide. I also did up some barrels I’ve had sitting round for some time and I’m about halfway through a load of Screaming Legionnaires. I also converted some Tekrons to Tekron Warmasters. The Hasslefree figs are for my Innocent Bystander collection I’m trying to build. I picked the Lab Technician and Wolse... Read More
