The Starting of something Big part #2

The Starting of something Big.. Part #1
Allowing players to formulate great big successful attack plans, can take a long time, and its hard to award experience for 'planning' an assult. Its also VERY important to have a clear understanding of what the foe would do under all given circumstances, Gamesmasters have to 'forget' what is going on, on the players side and know 'only' what the creatures know and understand. This week on Dark Heresy Theater.
This week was a short game as most of the time was taken up with shopping and research early in the session. The episode opens with the Dutiful Vengeance coming out of the Warp near the Forge World Belacane. They they were able to witness the Fleet of Thule returned from one of it's ten year journeys to the farthest reaches of the Segmentum Pacificus. #1.? 17's and 1's : bad dice rolls and Gamesmaster Fudging
Oh the Dratted 17.. The system we use is a counting down style 20's are bad, 1's are great. The average players right now have skills or spells in the 13's 14s or 15s, minus the opponents makes an average roll of 7 or less for most hits. Progressively the players will always be looking at 7's or less as the range to determine what is hard and what is easy, 10 or less is a fairly easy combat, anything above that is a walk in the park, 5 or less is hard and below that is exponentially impossible.C... This week on Dark Heresy Theater
This week the story opens as the Acolytes are leaving the sub foundation of Hive Secundus. As they reentered the city proper they came face to face with a what looked like a block war!
