Conversion Project
I may be setting myself up for failure, but I am trying to convert the Dragonstar RPG to the Pathfinder RPG rules. I plan to do it in two parts. A mainly core part that draws from OGL material as well as Pathfinder, and a second part that shows materials I think should fit, but may not be OGL. Since the original DS was prior to d20 Modern/Future, I will be using allot of material from there. I also feel that some of the basic premise of the tech level needs to be rethought. Femano E Femano.. The drawn out Combat
How do you cope with a dice battle? One player is the lead, or the only surviving combatant, the healing is low, the danger is high, and the player finds themselves alone against a few targets. The other players, now out of the battle can do nothing but cheer them on,., In many games, But today, It struck me differently. Dungeons, Caves, Sewers, its all the same. yes?
Alot of great games have closed encounters. It makes a nice simple flow, gets the characters into the scenario easier, players react easier, the answers to the puzzles seems easier. Dungeons are classic. You enter, you search for any given exit, find out whats beyond the exit, deal with any problems, repeat. When all possible exist are exhausted, you return to the previous room. Nice simple semi-linear, understandable layout. Personally, I dont like when a dungeon is designed purely as... Read More

Star Wars, the Fantasy.
A while ago, I got bored and was talking with friends about how any good movie could be remade over and over again.. mix it up, change the genre, and put enough self referencing jokes and you could be on a spinner..So we discussed the concept of star Wars, remade as a fantasy.. Imagine, Opening scene, a giant Eagle is being chased by a great red dragon. On the backs of the two beasts, wizards are blasting spells at each other, dialogue between a young man, an elf and a dwarf, show that some obj... Read More
