Hello from Ambush Alley Games!

I saw RPG Bomb advertised on The Miniatures Page and thought I should give it a try!

I'm Shawn Carpenter, one of Ambush Alley Games' designers. If you haven't heard of Ambush Alley Games, we are an indie company that publishes modern miniature wargame rules. The flagship of our line is Ambush Alley, a game devoted to modern counter-insurgency in an urban environment.

We recently released Day of the Rangers, an Ambush Alley supplement that provides rules and scenarios for actions in Somalia in '93, including the events recorded in the best selling book and popular move "Black Hawk Down."

Most of the pictures on the website show Peter Pig 15mm figures, which can be found at http://www.peterpig.co.uk/. We also use quite a few Cannonfodder minies (http://canfodmins.com/) and Rebel Minies (http://www.rebelminis.com/) in 15mm. Most of the vehicles shown are either Peter Pig or QRF (http://www.quickreactionforce.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24).

If you're a 20mm gamer, there are a ton of options, ranging from Liberation Miniatures and Stan Johansen Miniatures to inexpensive Caesare plastic figures. 28mm ranges are available from The Assault Group, Devil Dog Designs, and several other companies.

There's a lot of discussion about miniatures and where to find them on the Ambush Alley web forum at www.ambushalleygames.com/forum. You might want to check that out!

12/29/08 The New Look

The new style, Celestial, has gone live! We hope you like it. If you preferred the old look you can go to your account page and set it as your default style. To do this scroll down your account page, look on the left hand side of your screen, and you will see a box called Themes. You can choose between the classic RPGBomb style or the fresh new Celestial look. We will be updating the themes list with more styles as time goes on, so keep an eye out!
