Cartoon Action Hour: Season 2 Freebies!
As some of you may know, I'll be releasing the long-awaited (at least by me) second edition of the Origins-nominated RPG, Cartoon Action Hour. Entitled "Season 2", this new edition will be released as a PDF in October and as a hardcopy book in November. If you like the cartoons of the 1980s (Thundarr, Thundercats, Transformers, GI Joe, Masters of the Universe, MASK, etc.), then you'll love CAH:S2!

Gabriel,

I understand your pain when it comes to the presentation of the original CAH rulebook. It was my first product and I had yet to be trained as a graphic designer, so I wasn't terribly helpful to the guy who did the layout. I blame myself for the presentation issues. However, now that I have training under my belt, I'm able to handle the layout myself. I'm glad that what I have done with the CAH:S2 material works better for you. The book itself looks a lot like the Playset in terms of graphic design.

As for availablility, I'm still working that out, but I'll see to it that CAH:S2 is easy to get a hold of. :)

To be honest, I bought CAH 1e and Metal Wars and never played them.  Metal Wars was a very neat sourcebook and easily trounced FFG's Mechamorphosis.  However, the CAH corebook rubbed me the wrong way somehow.  It wasn't the content.  It was something about the presentation and the way things were explained.  My eyes would just glaze over whenever I tried to read it.

Since CAH was a game which I had purchased and never played, I was prepared to skip the second edition.  Then I checked out the Playset link above.

It seems you've addressed the presentation problems.  The text seems to flow better through my skull now.  Kudos to the artist too.  CAH1 had a very erratic personality with its vastly different art styles every other page.  CAH2 looks to have a much more unified 90s-toon look.

So, I guess the question is, how am I going to get this come November?  Will it be available on Amazon (where I got the first edition)?  Or will I be able to order it from nobleknight, stiggybaby, or sci-fi genre?

Funny, I had just pulled out my Metal Wars book that Z gave me way back at I-Con a few years back.
