Banelord - Khorne Warlord Titan Project - Part 8

Is that a Vulcan Mega-Bolter in your pocket?? ...or, I'm bringing the Dakka!!!

It's a little boxy for my liking but in the end it came out pretty good. This is my first from scratch Vulcan Mega-Bolter. For the Biledriver I used a Spawn action figure Minigun and mounted it on 40mm base on a peg. This time I wanted to try to build it from the ground up. The barrels are from an I-MEX Chemical Plant. I'm also pretty happy with the ammo drum feed. Before I was agonizing over how to build an armored beltfeed like you see in the movies. So this will save me some grief. Tomorrow I will figure out how to mount it. Also "Khorne" it up a bit.

 

Also after a short conversation with a friend. A name for this Titan came to me the next morning in the shower. I shall dub thee Prell!!! ...um wait. No, that's not it... Oh yeah! I shall dub thee OVERKILL!

 

I thought it apropriate. When fully armed with twin Vulcan Mega-Bolters and twin Gattling Blasters he will be able to throw 42 shots downfield per turn!! How's that for peace through superior firepower?

I remember back in Rouge Trader we built a Reaver Class titan outta all sorts of stuff.  It was impossible to kill.  That was back in the day when they have Void and Power fields.  The only way we took that thing down was a assualt squad jumped through the shields and breached the crew compartment with melta bombs.  Boarding actions were some cool DOOKIE back in the day.  Talk about having some rep when you took out a 2' tall Trator Reaver with 8 Marines after if blew away 5 Land Raiders and 3 Preditors.  Ah, the good old days of 40K.
