Power Up!!!

I'm sitting here at work thinking about theme songs for my Mekton campaign (it's supposed to be anime right, so it needs music!) and trying to do millions of other things at the same time. Why? Because I'm hopped up on energy drinks! w00t!

So... Put this post in the category of conversation starter. For years, Mountain Dew was the drink of preference for gamers, at least the ones I knew. I always liked colas better. But I had a bad experience with Mountain Dew and a long car ride in the back of my grandparents Oldsmobile through Georgia and Alabama in August... Anyway. With the diverstity of energy drinks out there, what is the beverage of choice for long hours of gaming?

My current favorite is Monster Assault. I also like Monster Khaos. Both give me a good kick and I like the taste.

I've tried several others, but those rise to the top for me!

Anybody?

usually go with generic colas myself. there cheap, and I get hopped up on caffene real fast

I've tried to help eliminate my gamer's belly by leaving the soda and energy drinks behind.

Now I drink Bloody Caesars when we game.

I'm not sure if I'm doing myself or anyone else around me any favors by this change over the last couple years.

hey! that's a great idea. i normally drink english breakfast when i'm partaking in tea. not much of a kick for me, but i'll try the ol' earl grey!

Back when I was in the military I had a couple of troops who would play at my place before heading into work for the night.  One night they were dragging after the game even though they had done the usual Mountain Dew thing so I made them each a cup of strong Earl Gray tea.  Soon they were bouncing off the walls.  I recently got one of my coworkers to try it and he has since given up on his Monster drinks since Earl Gray gives him a better kick with none of the jitters.  I've also had good luck with Yerba Mate.

12/29/08 The New Look


The new style, Celestial, has gone live! We hope you like it. If you preferred the old look you can go to your account page and set it as your default style. To do this scroll down your account page, look on the left hand side of your screen, and you will see a box called Themes. You can choose between the classic RPGBomb style or the fresh new Celestial look. We will be updating the themes list with more styles as time goes on, so keep an eye out!
