Pirates of the Federation
Way back, well a few years ago, I was introduced to the Constructable Card Game: Pirates of the Spanish Main (by Wizkids). Well it didn't take me long to design a game around the system based on Star Trek. I called it (of course) Pirates of the Federation.
I did quite a bit at first then like always I got side tracked and never did much more. I have some ships on it and the most of the rules, but I've never even played it. It should work in theory so I post the link to the home page and hope you enjoy what I did. Suggestions/additions are welcome as are new ships to play.

It's cool you should go this route as my buddies and I had the same thought. If you think about it, the mechanic used in PotSM lends itself well to such a game. The variety of gizmos, ships, and characters makes it practically write itself. I am really surprised they didn't try and jump on something like this for an official product release.

I've never played the Pirates game (or it's companion Star Wars game).  I prefer hexgrids with my miniatures.  However, I do think you've done something really cool here.  I even like how you used TAS graphics instead of live action stills.  

It does remind me I haven't continued my blog ramblings about my starship game in a while.

12/29/08 The New Look


The new style, Celestial, has gone live! We hope you like it. If you preferred the old look you can go to your account page and set it as your default style. To do this scroll down your account page, look on the left hand side of your screen, and you will see a box called Themes. You can choose between the classic RPGBomb style or the fresh new Celestial look. We will be updating the themes list with more styles as time goes on, so keep an eye out!
