Like most Gamers, I play more than just a few games. One of my passions though, is Scrabble. I may not seem too humble at this moment, but before I joined a "Scrabble Club" a couple months back, I was the best player I knew. Out of friends & family I only knew one person that really had a chance against me, and that's usually only about a 10% chance.
BUT... The first night I went to the "Scrabble Club" I was humbled. I'm not just talking about a loss. I'm talking about a 0-4 record for the night. Hell, since i've been going I've won 4 out of 36 games, and 2 of those wins were just last week. It goes without saying that my game has gotten a lot stronger. And I think that I will continue to get better, I am still very far off from being the best.
I'm not sure which is worse to lose to, the older folks or the 11 year old Scrabble Champ. None the less, I'm learning from my experiences and having a good time.
I will end with this old saying "There is always someone better out there."
