So I tinkered with some ideas about building a few of these for my Apocalyptic forces. A guy at my last Apocalypse battle built a custom Weirdboy Tower for his Orks and used some Necromunda plastic wall sections for the under carriage. GW store require a 51% GW components to use something in their stores. Seems fair. Their stores, their rules. Don't like, don't play there. Anyways they recently ditched the Siege Tower which would have been an excellent base for a Plague Tower. Oh well! So diving into my bins of GW pieces and parts I found I have well over 30 of these wall sections. In the picture mock up I have how the walls would sit. The taller sections will be the front leading edge with a plasticard front. The 4 weapons systems will have their respective ports cut into it. The back of the tank will be cut from scrap plasticard and some balsa wood lurking in my materials box. I like that the forces of Nurgle use wood in their construction of their vehicles. It adds to the sci-fantasy element that originally drew me to 40K. The white plastic tubing will be used for the battle cannons, mortar and pus cannons. The two transparent film canisters are going to be the pus tanks for the tower. I'm thinking I'm going to build treads for the beast as find enough of the same diameter wheels may be a bitch to do. I have no time table for these as it is going to be a putzing about the work room project. Unless I get some sort of bug up my butt about finishing them right away.
