All thee Dysk's a stage

One of Steve Jackson Games' less expected products had to have been the Discworld Roleplaying Game, based on Terry Pratchett's extremely well-known comedic fantasy novels. I've only read about half the book myself, being mostly disappointed by the fact it seemed focused on crowbarring your typical fantasy adventurers/barbarians and their favored pastimes into the Discworld setting, rather than suggesting scenario suggestions based on what we've seen go on in the novels. Maybe all that's in the second half of the book, whcih I'm sure I'll get around to reading someday.

But anyway, I did have one neat idea for a Discworld convention game. The players are all members of the Ankh-Morpork Amateur Dramatics Association, the Disc's first community theatre group. They're gearing up for their first public performance -- a cheery bit of song and dance about sailors and a lady named Buttercup -- and naturally the stuck-up actors and playwrights over at the Dysk theatre aren't happy about a bunch of hobbyists horning in on their patch.

So amidst fending off Corporal Nobbs and Sergeant Colon's heavily-dropped hints of the amateur theatre tax, and some creative sabotage of the scenery, the PCs discover the lead actor has been kidnapped. Wackiness ensues as they must rescue him from the clutches of Chrysoprase the Troll's men -- er, trolls -- and get him to the theatre on time.

Where's the Dashboard?

Look to your left. The latest update to the account page frees up space by moving the dashboard to the left side. It still works the same, it's just slimmer and sexier. And for those of you that don't know it, you can collapse the dashboard by clicking on the header.
