Origins - RPGA Games

When I was freed of the table in Madison room on Friday night the first thing I did was a B-Line to RPGA to participate in the “Ultimate Delve - The Lunar Awakening.” The idea is simple BYOC, level 6 and equipped to RPGA standards along with 1000 gold more to be spent,  then slaughter through 6 delve like senarios 45 minutes each. I had a character tuned to be a descent ranged striker, also giving him some extras for an undead/lycanthrope type of battle. We burned with seconds left on the first battle and one insubstantial creature floating about, doh! My only critique of this is the delve shouldn’t be timed but rather capped at rounds.

That being said we tried some of the mini delves with a set of premade characters. These were a little more fun, finish 2 encounters in 45 minutes, get rewarded with tokens to buy RPGA cards or a mini. I did about 6 of these, lots of fun! Thank you to the DMS for running this.

Finally I had my main character Polmund run through WATE 1-5, BALD 1-4, TYMA 1-1(open session) and that made all of Saturday for me. Polmund leveled and showed off skill as a ranged combatant as well as a 2 weapon ranger, I love twin strike!

RPGA was usually full, getting turned away from a game nearly impossible, although a reflection on decline of people at the con, it made for a great environment at the con, a large con with more small con personality. Playing with characters I Dmed for in my anime theme and regular games was great as well, people make fast friends at cons.
