Well I stumbled into this site today and really like what I see. It got me thinking about the WotC version of the same thing. Let’s do a bit of a Compare and Contrast...

What are the similarities?
First and foremost they both are competing for the same users both individuals and companies. They both allow users to create profiles and post information about themselves as MySpace and Facebook.

What are the diffences?
So far the big difference that I have found is that RPGBomb really allows you to customize your page. This is a big plus!

The one thing that I suspect will be a problem for RPGBomb is that it doesn’t get impute from WotC staff. That said ENWorld has done a great job getting the scoops on all the new 4E info sometimes even before it hits the WotC boards.

I would really like to see this site be real success so how do we make this happen… I am adding a line to my signatures on both my ENWorld and WotC profiles.

Another big difference between WOTC and rpgbomb, correct me if I am wrong, but, WOTC will not let you talk about White Wolf games, or Paizo, for example, or any other game except those made by WOTC, whereas, RPGbomb will allow you to talk about any game, as well as will enworld.  No matter who makes/made it, you can talk about the game on the forums here, or on enworld.

That's cool. I know that WotC is the mega giant in the RPG world but what I have seen from this site so far is the wide open range of gaming. What I really like about this corner of the web is that it is NOT WotC centric. I am not a fan of WotC products and I would not join a site that was predominantly so. But I would never criticize anyone who was. They do make a quality product and I admire their success. I just don't like d20. Thanks, and yeah, keep spreading the word!
