We bought some figs a few months ago then kind of forgot about them, turns out our local store has a weekly session so my 8 yr old and I went last week. As is the norm in the gaming community, at least in my experiance, they were great! One of the guys even pulled out some loaded dice so my daughter could smack him down. This I could easily do every week.
We normaly don't "let the wookie win" either. I tend to over explain how I won so she learns but this one time we were getting our butts handed to us and we still ended up losing but she got a few good licks in with the loaded dice.
Tonight was Hero Clix again and we won the first game then she partnered up with one of the guys and I did the same. Me and my team lost...horribly. It was fun though
That's cool of them. I'm not sure how I feel about letting her win--although if she doesn't KNOW they did it, well that might be ok for confidence building and preventing discouragement.
I have a nephew who a few years back was WAY into Yu Gi Oh, and I played him and won a few times, and didn't let him win--he won several tournements I feel because he simply played better because of having a tougher opponant, but it took a LOT to not let him win. I'm a softy usually *LOL*
