Over my years as both a DM and a player, I’ve been exposed to some amazingly stupid PC names.  We're not even talking stuff like "Carlos the Dwarf," but names with a level of idiocy that just boggle the mind. 

Glazkok – Rolled up by our DM as a ‘back-up’ should one of our PCs die mid-adventure, this PC became a long running joke due to his name sounding suspiciously like ‘Glass Cock’.

FACERAPER – About a year ago some friends lost a player from their 3.5 FR game and asked if I was interested to join in his place.  The one stipulation was that I’d have to use the former players PC; not a problem. That is, until I saw the PC’s name: FACERAPER (yes, in all caps). The game went on with out me.

Roscoe Tealeaf – This one actually came from the list of pregenerated Halfling names on the PC creation cd that came with the old 3.0 PHB.  Needless to say, letting a player run a PC named ‘Roscoe’ resulted in several NPCs getting pint-sized bitch slaps.

Necrobutcher – I’m actually guilty of perpetrating this one, giving this name to my PC for a gritty game of Shadowrun. Living up to his name, with in 10 minutes of play, Necrobutcher had beaten an uncooperative informant to death and then set him on fire to cover the crime.  The blaze spread throughout the apartment building, resulting in the untimely deaths of numerous NPCs.  The DM awarded me a whopping -75 Karma points and ended the game. And, just to clarify, I named the PC after Mayhem’s bassist, not that idiot wrestler who stole the name…
