CAT CALLS
If you see me at the Con, stop and say hi! However, if all you can manage is a weak “meow” or growl, I’ll probably smile and keep walking. I know we’re gamers, which makes most of us not only dorky but also extremely shy. But folks, we’re at a gaming convention! We’re ALL dorks! Talk to your fellow dork. Whether at a gaming table, standing in one of those horrendous lines, or colliding with one another in the Dealer Room, smile and say hi! Really, it won’t hurt, and I have a terrible habit of flirting, so you might even manage to walk away with a little ego boost.
CAT NAPS
Last year I found great little “hiding” place to curl up and take cat naps while the Marquis games. I won’t tell you where it is, because it’s my spot. But if you happen upon a kitty curled up with her eyes closed, beware: She’s probably not fast asleep, and with her kitty ears she can hear every word you say. So don’t say anything you wouldn’t say if her eyes were open, m’kay? It could be dangerous. When our cat Atlas is mad at us, she usually gets back at us by “littering” on our bed. I have other methods.
