Last night, I had one of those bookstore dreams. You know the type: your dreamself is browsing in a bookstore or library and there are all these titles you've never heard of before, but wish were real. At the time, they all seem like perfectly normal titles and you just wish you had the time or money to read them all. It's only afterwards, when you've woken up, perhaps when you're thinking if you can squeeze in a trip to the shop to pick up the title that's floating through your head at the moment, "Wait a minute, none of those books actually exist. Damnit!"
I had one of those last night, only this time it was in the FLGS, Quarterstaff Games, so it seemed doubly real. I remember seeing a whole swathe of Ars Magica books that had this sort of swirly blue and purple tie-dye effect for their covers. It was almost as if the game had been merged with White Wolf's two Mage games, affectionately referred to as Purple and Blue by some. Not a bad idea...
Right next to those was a bunch of Unknown Armies books; all the first edition books had been republished for second edition, and there were new titles. The only one I can remember was Coen Bros., which I assume was a book about using Coen Bros. movies -- like Fargo and Raising Arizona -- in your Unknown Armies game. If you know UA, you'll agree that's not nearly so far-fetched as it might sound.
