Authors include Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Arthur Clarke, Peter David, Eve Forward, Greg Costikyan, Joseph Heller, Michael Stackpole, Stephen Donaldson, Matt Forbeck, Mary Gentle, Jim Butcher just made the list, and a few hundred others. I like to read.

I think I do everything BUT gaming right now... I'm just coming out of retirement, y'know? The main things I do right now are set up a new life for myself - the old life kinda went awry - and care for my amazing son on weekends. He rules.

I can listen to almost anything, with one exception. No Unchained Melody. I don't care who sings it.
Current artists I'm listening to when I should be working include: Disturbed, System of a Down, old TMBG, Mojo Nixon, George Thorogood, Dr. Demento collections, with a little Blue Man Group and Cinderella thrown in for flavor.

Army of Darkness, 1776, Hot Fuzz, Gremlins, Duck Soup, Killer Klownz from Outer Space, Battle Beyond the Stars, Bubba Ho-Tep, Death Race 2000, Mystery Men, Sockbaby, Anything by Pixar, Elvis Has Left the Building, Dr. Horrible, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Return to Me, UHF, Hudson Hawk, Frankenhooker, Blade, Blues Brothers, Invisible Man, Brimstone, Animaniacs, Muppets, The Tick, Reaper, Misfits of Science, Ray Bradbury Theater, Forever Knight, etc. Give me a shred of originality, and I'm yours.

Teach me. I'm willing to learn.
I guess Blood Bowl, Silent Death and Battletech could be considered mini games. I also own Vor and Crucible books, but never had the chance to break 'em out before my life kinda took an unexpected turn.

|
I generally stick to the fighting games and old arcade classics on the consoles. I'm an old Street Fighter hound, currently hooked on SF4 and Soul Calibur 4. I stink at 'em, but I play anyhow.
|
|
Talisman, Diplomacy, Battletech, most 'normal' board games, and if you've got one you'd like to show me, break it out and let's have some fun.

Used to be big on the old-school Mind's Eye Theatre, had to retire for a long time for family reasons. Maybe I'll make a comeback at some point. Do people still play oWoD live?

NOW you're talking! I miss playing so badly... my priorities got all twisted, I let life come first for the last few years. Trying to find my way back.
If I haven't played it and I don't own it, I'll give it a try. I have old World of Darkness, D&D (2nd & 3rd), Btech, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk, Cartoon Action Hour, Marvel, Champions, GURPS, Horror Rules!, CoC, In Nomine, WEG-style Star Wars, Paranoia, Attack of the Humans, Tales from the Floating Vagabond and so much more crowding my gaming space. Someday, I will have to make room for my own brand of gamebooks - what, you thought Blunt Fish Games was just a handle? Coming someday - not soon, but someday!

No, for the same reason as CCGs.

Uno. Chez Geek. Munchkin. Blackjack. (Poker? I don't even know her!). Malkav.
No collectible card/figure/dice/toenail games. Keep 'em away from me. No offense to those of you who do, but I don't. Marketing schemes should not be as important as the gameplay.

OOC dishonesty or hypocrisy, feeling the need to sleep before 3 AM, Ground Zero tourists, developing grudges over things said on the internet, subway riders who can't tell that they're stepping on someone's feet, and anyone who takes up 2 parking spaces with 1 car.

Making outrageous statements (especially when they happen to be true) and horrible jokes and puns, corrupting the young and innocent into gaming, playing devil's advocate, playing devil, playing. Spending time with my son for any reason at all, writing, blogging, and sleeping right through my alarm on work days.

I'm a clean-cut Jewish guy, married by Elvis to a lesbian, working for a baptist church in Harlem. Y'know, just a regular guy.
I've got a son who will bigger than me by the time he's 10 (he's 6 yrs. old & 4'3" now), and might even be able to talk with me by then. He owns me, and I like it that way.
Yes, these are true statements. I live in interesting times. Feel free to ask me to explain any of this further, I don't mind at all.
