Stuff From The Artists Head
Well, its official. I am now in my new studio, and bording with a great family while I am in process of divorcing. Now then, that's that.
Fortunately for me I have Dark Magic and Donuts to keep. I have no intention of stopping. I am in full swing and back on track for weekly delivery. My goal is to be able to do a daily strip. But for now I need to keep going the weekly. Before the separation and the divorce I was up to 6 weeks ahead on the comic. Now... its week to week. Gonna fix that.
Now for the fun stuff. I have a con coming up. Specifically, TotalCon in Mansfield MA. I will be taking commissions and have selected a few of the Dark Magic and Donuts ORIGINAL strip arts to sell at the con. I have Ash Can's which is a collected printing of the first 20 or so of the comic and of course will take commissions for both On and Offsite character sketches. Please stop by and see me in the TotalCon Vendor Hall. Holiday Inn, Mansfield, MA Feb 18-21.
So, I am alive, and well. I am able to work and concentrate. I am keeping the Cable TV OUT of the studio. And plan to work my balding, fat, old, nerdy butt off.
Pass the double chocolates. See you at TotalCon.

Cast of Characters
MarcilonA White Wizard, happy in his life. He eats what he wants, drinks what he wants, as much as he wants. When the spring in his step is less than bouncy he heals; after all, that's what magic is for. Now the comfort zone of his life is threatened by the presence of a Dark Sorceress. She has awakened feelings in him that he isn't prepared to keep. Given the choice he'd rather sleep.
VandaliasA Dark Sorceress; ambitious, driven, and promiscuous, she is fascinated by this White Wizard. He is the first male to refuse her advances since her kindergarten crush so many years ago. She plans to make war on the Wizard's lands unless he gives her what she wants as many times as she wants. She has never been satisfied with balanced co-existance; as she says, "Why settle for equality when you're superior?"
Tule (Tulie)A West Coast elf, he was raised in a culture of Sand and Surf (yes, Surf). His perpetually child-like nature is not only because he is an elf but because of his easy going personality. Curious, he is confused by his friendship with the Far East Elf. He knows how he is supposed to act normally but the more he discovers about his friend the less he can rely on perceived normality.
Ban-JoAn elf from the Far East Lands. Aloof, quiet, and mysterious there are things about this elf that most don't discover without diligent thought and investigation. She (yes, she) enjoys the friendship forming with Tule of the West Coast elves and gets her jollies by letting his unanswered questions remain that way.
GoldiOrcCaptain of Vanalias' guard. He was cursed with the Goldilocks Garb due to his inability to maintain eye contact when necessary. What most are unaware of is that the curse was not permanent. He continues to wear it because it makes him feel "nice".
CirilA Halfling; servant, messenger, and all around lackey for Marcilon. His irritating long winded style of speaking is only slightly less irritating than his random bursting into song. He is an accidental adventurer sent to places, and times by his master with total disregard to the fact that he isn't supposed to find a way back.
ScufA Goblin, more specifically a Goblin-Ninja, trained in the arts of stealth and deadly agility. His skills of recent have been lacking due to the loss of his left eye and thereby his depth perception. He hopes to one day have his eye restored to him as Vandalias has promised that he can have his eye back as soon as it stops looking at her. She keeps his eye in a glass beside her bed.
AngusA Dwarf; overpowering, overbearing, and one of the great unwashed. His reputation is only proceeded by his presence (when up wind). He was cursed long ago for his braggart nature. A curse befitting his name, he is now unable to speak it aloud for when he does some large hungry beasty appears looking for beef. Now you might say an eaten dwarf should stay dead, not Angus, his smell and general funkyness has proven him unable to be kept down. This is now called the curse of Presti-regurgitation.
