Land Ironclads

In case your not aware of it, Wessex games, here in the UK, are developing a series of VSF tabletop games set in a "traditional" (period authors) universe rather than the Hive, but a little more "mechanical" than the Martian Empires universe.


The timeline starts before the ACW and goes thru to the death of Queen Vic.  Lots of detail, but it's spead between Aeronef and Land leviathans.  I'm sure there will be a comprehensive update available soon!

Promised for later in the year is Aquanef with Astronef to follow.

I had played Space 1889 and the Miniatures version back when it came out. Which is where I discovered Steampunk really.

Wessex's games are good but they are definitely for those who want their games light on system and big on fun.

There is a nice beer & pretzels quality to them, though I have always thought that their price point was a bit high for the rather lightweight rules systems they produce.
