"Kitty" by Carrie Vaughn
I know... these are found in the romance section, but I LOVE these books! The character of Kitty is so real... I would love to listen to her radio show... I want to get the music from the playlists for all 4 books... books 5&6 are coming out at the end of this year and the beginning of next year respectively. I'm excited! I even found Carrie Vaughn's blog and she seems like someone I would love to chat with... a "normal" person.

No Way!!!! (I'm clapping & jumping up & down in my chair like the geek I am) And are they really in the romance section? I never noticed. I think because I tend to pick them up as soon as they come out on the front table at Borders.
Since you like Kitty, you would also probably like the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. There are 3 books so far (Moon Called, Blood Bound, & Iron Kissed) and they also deal with weres and vapires and fae. I really enjoyed them.

I would so listen to her show as well. Barnes and Nobles put them in either romance or fantasy, depending on who is shelving things that day. With the new trend in female writers they are starting to move them to sci-fi/fantasy.
