Need some ideas
When I head home this Christmas I'm going to hook up with a couple of buddies and play a version of Mekton I call "One Year War." It takes place, strangely enough, during the One Year War in 0079-0080 and involves a small team of GM pilots. I want it to last an afternoon and involve three battles-two skirmishes and a climactic final battle on which many fates are riding. Of course deception, betrayal and trechery by a corrupt and duplicitous higher command are par for the course. Any thoughts?

My overarching concept is that they are a Feddie MS team on Earth in the last months of the war that (first battle) seizes a shipment of nerve gas shells. Their commander, a spacenoid hater who (part of sewing the seeds for the eventual rise of the Titans) decides to gives those shells to a renegade zealous splinter cell of Zeonist who want to shell a major city. They get a final victory (despite the Antarctic Treaty) and the commander gets the moral high ground to push for cracking down on the colonies when the war is over. Stopping the Xemel with the shells would be the final battle. I would like to run a third battle in-between to bridge the two but am short on ideas.

Hmmmmm....
While enroute to their next battle, the heroes come across a group of political refugees. Among these refugees is a very pretty photojournalist with pictorial evidence of war crimes. Though she is wise to hide this fact fro mthe heroes at first, she does approach them to "escort the refugees" to a meeting point where they can get help from humanitarian relief groups (also a cover for her hand off of her film).
Of course the enemy is aware that the journalist has escaped into the countryside and tracked her down to the refugees. While escorting the refugees, our heroes are set upon by the enemy strike team sent to make sure the journalist's film never sees the light of day.
