Ok, to start with lets say I'm not so much impressed by d&d4.0 ...Any case the people behind it at wotc will succeed in making me buying the Forgotten Realms updated setting.I just want to see how they will fit in races like the Dragonborns or even better the Tieflings.Will they spoil FR too, with such things that have no ties at all with the game and the setting???

Eventually yesterday i found some time to browse the core rulebooks.
It is just my impression or the 4th edition is quite like Windows Vista??
I mean: might be it is better than 3.5 (i seriously doubt this), but very few will be happy with it, once the initial curiosity has passed.For me I have decided to remain faithful to the old horse (3.5), with some improvements ... like True20 or Pathfinder... Read More

I am not a D&D player, or "D&Dhed" as I have been found of saying since 1982, so this whole discussion of the latest "4th Edition of D&D" has been kind of amazing. While reading the problems people are having with this or that rule, or rule expansion, or rule expansion setting, not a few, as in not more than a handful of the MANY problems expressed, have been adverse to why some role-players do not like D&D. In case it passed anyone by, HERE it is.What I must do:
Turn in a Statement of Acceptance.
Keep up to date about the state of the license.
Keep SRD material inviolate.
Keep up to date about the state of the SRD.
Have the 4th Edition compatible logo present on the back page and with the legal text on the lower third of the page. For electronic products on the last page.
Include the legal text within the first three pages.

Well, its finally here.  Fourth Edition.  I was in lost goblin games in Raleigh, NC, picking up my reserved copy of the Players' Handbook (figure I will get Monster Manual next week or two).   Okay, how geeky am I that this was something I was looking forward to for about the last month.   So I get it home and open it up....and its pretty...lotsa color....everywhere....little bit of brain overload on this.
