OGC 2008: A Biff! Bam! Socko! Convention
Unwinding during the three hour drive from OGC to my house this morning, I had plenty of time to ruminate on everything that went on this weekend. First, much fun was had. I played some games, ran some other games, met up with old friends and made some new ones. I call that a highly successful convention. Friday, I played in Nine_Hands' Iron Heroes dungeonbash. I love Iron Heroes because it emphasizes the characters' abil... Read More

Dexcon…wow…
Well we did Dexcon, 23 hours of gaming madness. Both Jarrett and I had a wonderful time, gaming, seeing old friends, eating and drinking bad foods, and did I say gaming? PIC: This Is SugarFEST! I’m going to try to try to describe as best I can the events of the convention, my son forgot his digital camera. First off both Jarrett and I were up at 5 am to pack and get all of our stuff into the car, after weaving our way through driving directions written by a mad gerbil, we made it to... Read More

Skirmish '08 report
Well, Skirmish '08 is now come and gone. The stress of putting a game together, building the terrain, painting the figures, and trying to entertain some gamers is gone until next year. Well, practice does help as I never ran a game at a convention before I signed up for S... Read More

Citing Sources
Last night, I did some research for the GURPS Discworld scenario I want to run at OGC. I watched an Opera Australia production of Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore. It makes sense, honest. This adventure's going to be about Ankh-Morpork's first amateur theatre group. The city already has a traditional theatre, the Dysk, and an opera house. Clearly, the next step is to mash the two together into proto-musical theatre. And this being the Discworld, it's all ha... Read More

Men: the Wandering Cards - Set III!
Set III of our Men: the Wandering cards are finally here! I know Omegacon has come and went, but I realized the other day that not everyone was able to make it to the Con, and so many of you have not seen the cards yet! Bad Ashy! Bad!! SET III comprises our Hero Happy Hour versions of our collectible convention cards. These cards were drawn by the artist (and Omegacon Art Director) Chris Fason, who is the co-creator and artist genius behind the hilarious comic, Hero Happy Hour (also... Read More
