Skirmish '08 report
Well, Skirmish '08 is now come and gone. The stress of putting a game together, building the terrain, painting the figures, and trying to entertain some gamers is gone until next year. Skirmish is primarily a historicals convention and this is its third year and they have always been kind enough to allow my decidedly cracked games in and it's been commented that each year the game gets better and better. Well, practice does help as I never ran a game at a convention before I signed up for S... Read More

Doing Spaghetti Westerns
by Laggy
There has been a rejuvenation of interest in 'Wild West' role-playing in my realms of existence over the past two years. by Peryton
That's right; I played 4th Edition D&D. Who wants to touch me?I SAID, "WHO WANTS TO F***IN TOUCH ME?"Oh well. I guess after this long, even Butters isn't impressed.

Skein of Shadows, Book Review part 3
by Laggy
Seaborn SentinelBy Brannon Hall. Say what you will about the drow, the Klingons, and the Vorlon, but the alonn residing in the seawaters close to the city of Crown make a damned interesting alien "race." These amphibious humanoids act as the scouts and far-ranging guards of the area and D'yorn is one of them. Assigned to a remote outpost instead of Deep Harbor because of his lack of polity, despite an abundance of talent by the Council, he happens to be the first one to notice signs of a fo...
