Random Thoughts: Heroscape, Video Games, and Macross Froniter
by Gabriel
I guess I've been slacking off, no entries for over a week.  Even still, I don't have any grand revelations to share at the moment.  I just don't feel very creative lately. As a Heroscape player, I was very happy to receive my wave 7 expansion packs in the mail the other day.  The wave is more than a bit Utgar (bad guy) heavy, but what's really important are the mounted Knights, the Templar Cavalry unit.  I can't wait to use these guys in a game, and were in fact almost my en... Tunnels & Trolls
by Peryton
(or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the d6)I got a few questions about playing T&T after my last post, so I thought I'd just address it all in one blog.Until about 2003, I had never heard of Tunnels and Trolls. Then, in an RPG discussion board, some crazy old hack (who I am now married to) started lecturing me about how T&T was really awesome and D&D sucked. I still didn't see the inside of the near-mythical 5th edition T&T book for another few years, when we picked up a... Read More

I Didn't Mean It!
by Peryton
If you've looked at my profile, you may have already noticed that I'm part of a small game publishing company. The funny thing is that Peryton RPG, our best-selling product (although Troll Tunnels hasn't been out long and is showing a lot of promise) was kind of an accident. Here's what happened. I wanted to introduce my gaming group, a bunch of Tunnels & Trolls fanatics, to the good things about the d20/OGL world but I was burned out on all the homework involved in D&D 3/3.5. I found a... Skein of Shadows, Book Review part 1
by Laggy
As much as I loved the Moonshea Isles and the Middle Earth Role-Playing Game, it was only recently that I discovered what it truly meant to be a role-playing addict and to write fiction in this divergent yet holistic sub-genre of fiction. The fellows over at the Wandering Men seem to have come up with a fresh and inspired batch of works for their city of Crown, set in their own world, but based in Dungeons and Dragons. And Tenet, "The Queen's Man," a fascinating recurring character throughout th... Read More

Gas prices and RPG'ing
by Laggy
Our table-top role-playing group has finally succumbed to the ever-rising gas prices that mark our times. Well, to be more truthful, the last of our players has finally up-graded his computer to where he can play those graphic intensively RPG's available on-line while at home. Our RPG gaming, has been mostly alternating between tabletop Tunnels and Trolls and City of Heroes which is on-line anyway over the past year. Most of the tabletop we've been doing has moved to the conventions that we atte... Read More

Where's the Dashboard?

Look to your left. The latest update to the account page frees up space by moving the dashboard to the left side. It still works the same, it's just slimmer and sexier. And for those of you that don't know it, you can collapse the dashboard by clicking on the header.
