My rates vary from job to job. Primarily though I look at the amount of work needed. The size of work needed, Color or black & Wht, Level of difficulty ie. a simple human character bust study at half page size b&w is going to be cheaper than a street scene full of people and characters lots of activity at the same half page size. And lastly I ask about the schedule, when work is due when do I need to have things approved and what is the pay schedule.
Mostly, I get specifics of the job from you, then bid or quote on the job and negotiate prices to agreeable results or all.
