Difficult stuff
Posted On: 07/08/2008 19:42:49
Just sitting here pondering the difficult task of getting and staying (a) motivated and (b) organized. Sigh. I have lots to do, but sometimes I feel like a jumping bean going from project to project, thing to thing and not finishing them or not doing them well because I have too many darned things to do.

I need to go do some of those things now. Thanks you for reading. You may now return to whatever it was you were doing before I interrupted.

Ah but the things that do get done are so rewarding!

It does exist.  Really.  It happens when you become so stressed out about what has to be done that you completely zone out on everything else except for bare basics of a bit a bread and a splash of water tossed at the kids to keep the whining down.  You'll get there.  Only, afterwards, you are so frazzled you don't really notice wheter you are at the beach or curled up in a ball in the back hallway of the con hotel.

Keep the faith.  You are not alone.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I know the feeling well!  Especially when it comes to crunch time at Total.  It's the point where...why the hell am I doing this meets holy crap, there isn't enough time to do what I gotta do!!  I can't imagine trying to do this just a few weeks after getting out of school and trying to battle bored kids on summer break!!

Take some time to relax, things usually go better than we fear.

If you weren't stressed, there would be a problem.  You'd be dead or completely insane!

16 more days till you can relax....well, until school starts again and AAC planning goes into full gear.

Good Luck!!

I'm fairly sure that things will go well. It's just a lot to do and still keep the house together. As far as planning goes, I have lots to do for back to school and less to do for AAC.

I'm just trying to find that block of non-existent time Lisa keeps talking about. You know, the extradimensional day that doesn't exist that has enough time to get it all done & relax on the beach afterwards?

I hear ya!!! Oh boy do I hear ya!!! I'm sitting here, staring at the three adventures I'm writing for OGC, and finding new ways to procrastinate, despite the fact that I know EXACTLY what I intend to do, and have known it for the last three months! And right now, everything I've written can fit on one single sheet of paper.

Yup. I'm right there with a project for school actually. Yes . . . I'm planning next year already. Blech.

I like your idea. Let's get some rum & discuss.
