Wizards Thinks Twice About the GSL
Posted On: 08/11/2008 16:37:49
There's a post on the Wizards of the Coast's website, announcing they will be releasing a revised GSL, the license that allows third party publishers to create D&D 4E compatible products and say so on the cover, some time in the "very near future."

Good, and I'm not surprised. Myself and many other small as well as several big fish publishers and sites have been shying away from the GSL because of how poorly it was written as well as its limitations it has for 3rd party publishers who create more than just D&D 3.5/d20 Modern based games. I'm glad they have finally realized the mistake they have made and will hopefully begin to correct it.

Which is a good thing, since I would never consider writing anything under the current GSL and I know that Scott Rouse and Linae Foster have worked hard to make it palitable to everyone.  Sadly the first version wasn't what many people wanted.
