But quite true Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science.
The new element,Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.
These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A tiny amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second, to take from 4 days to 4 years to complete.
Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2- 6 years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.
This characteristic of morons promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass. When catalysed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.
Cross posted from the Ogre Boards on warehouse 23 Ok guys, couldnt find my counters for Ogre, so I got creative http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/...urloph/oil2.gifA map of the world. Not close to Ogre's timeline, if anybody else wants to mod it from here, go for it. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/...xisandogres.jpghere is what I was thinking. Each CP token is your manufacturing base production site and ops center rolled into one. each player gets a total of 3 to place. When you purchase units for the campaign they can be deployed at any one of these sites. As far as costs go Ogres would cost around 100 to produce and take two turns. (use the production notes from Axis and Allies for this) Infantry STR 1. 5 PN Each Division. 1 Turn Light tank division 10 PN. 1 Turn. Heavy Tank division 25 PN. 1 Turn Super Heavy's 35 PN for a group of 3. 2 Turns. I know thats not all of it, but its just some ideas. What do you guys think? part two. Movement. All counters can move 1 space per turn. (once the rules are hammered out we will add in GEV's and stuff) you can stack them on each area, each counter is What You See is What You Get. Transport will need to be purchased if you want to travel across the sea with anything other than an Ogre (however this only costs a total of 10 for all units that you wish to ship out) Ogres can pretty much go anywhere. Resources. Each player starts off with 2 MK3's 4 Light Tank counters, 4 Heavy Tank Counters and 2 Super Heavy Counters. Place one infantry counter in each location of your starting empire as well. Each player starts off with 55 Production Notes. Part three. Combat Declare which units are engaging whom. In the picture above, france is invaded by a MK3 Ogre. Luckily they have their own Ogre! Move each chit to the edges of the combat zone and play a regular game of Ogre with the corosponding units from the campaign map. After combat remove the loosing chit from the map and place a faction counter to represent that you now controll that area if you were the attacker. Defenders can blitz into the zone from the attacker for an automatic counter attack, keep in mind, this may leave you open for another attack if you sweep it all in there and loose. You can move past enemy held zones that have no standing forces there, but if you wish to capture it you must have a unit remaining in that area to hold it at the end of the turn. Each captured zone nets you production notes equal to the ammount on the board (same as it is in Axis and Allies) will update as I come up with ideas.
No really I am. I was painting another tank earlier and when I went to shut the lid of the blue paint, it flipped out of my hand and I ended up with half the pot over my hands, shirt and legs. Ugh! Whats more annoying is that particular paint brand is 3 dollars a bottle and Im allmost out :P
Jason "Hey I look badass behind the wheel of a car" Statham stars in yet another hollywood movie remake. The first one was pretty awesome, funny and filled with awesome action scenes. Part two ... well it did good and was just as entertaining as the first film. They dont really bog down the movie with plot. They bog it down with action scenes and squishy death. At the opening of the movie, we are treated to a bullet filled start. Sets up the premise and look of the movie with out any words. I also think they got the star of the first film to reprise his voice in the opening as it sounded really close to him. I wont do any spoilers for the film, but the crash scenes are among the best since The Road Warrior/Mad Max. The Dreadnaught was a suprise even if you saw it in the production stills a year or so before the film was released. Violent for violence sake, awesome awesome awesome stuff! To be honest, when I saw the trailer for this movie, I thought it was going to be crap. Out of all the bullshit hollywood remakes and 'hey it was a cartoon in the 80's, lets make it into a movie' films, this one suprised me. So I recommend seeing it if you can, or at the very least pick it up when its released on DVD, and if you can find it, get Death Race 2000 with David Carradine.

Not much going on, painting, more painting and even more painting. I was curious if RPGbomb is going to implement an update system so you know when new blogs have been submitted?

It came in the mail, now I need a 2 Dollar bill, a blood/hair/tooth sample, then some chanting of the 29th Psalm and Im set for all my wargaming dice needs.
Well kinda, should be getting my gris-gris soon, heres to hoping it can bring me some luck for war gaming.
Batman: Dark Knight. Go see it. It is easily the best movie I have seen in the past 5 years or so. Not much else. I played a bit of Metal Gear Solid 4. I will say this, I wasnt really impressed with the story of that entire game series...ever. Its like the guy who wrote it took a dictonary. cut out every single word and threw them into a blender, the remaining scraps of paper that could still be read were then parsed together into a ... story. I had played the first game, it was dull and hard to follow. I got the PS1 version and got pissed at it because the ending was a let down, the CD sequel sucked too in the story department. The game looks pretty, but like with most newer video games, it suffers from the 'baywatch' syndrome. Looks good, but underneath, is a hairy hasselhoff waiting to sing hooked on a feeling. Games I am looking forward to? Left 4 Dead, Halo Wars (Halo 2 and 3 are another example of when story is thrown to the side in favor of eye candy and more hoff) and Dead Space. Heres to hoping they wont suck either. Man Batman was an awesome movie.
Who knew he was a space alien monkey bent on world domination through non violence, which was then later revealed he was housing the soul of Mahatma Ghandi.
In other news.
http://ogrerecognitionmanual.blogspot.com/ two of my ogres appeared on the site. I need to create fluff and like you know. Take a picture of them with a background terrain setup
Lookin good, nice to see it working a bit smoother. Would be great to see it advertised more on various gaming related websites, should increase traffic quite a bit. So I drove around for an hour trying to find an open resteraunt, no luck. Bakersfield on a Sunday night is a wasteland as far as cheap places to eat go. I try my luck at the Taco Bell next to my house before going home and a guy was on a bike, couldnt be served. So he walks up and asks if I could buy his family dinner and holds up some cash, I say sure, he says 'I want to buy you dinner too, order 12 burritos and tacos, I do so, but they got the order wrong and shut down the resteraunt (I was the last customer for the night) so I give him some of my freebie McDonalds cupons I got at work and told him to take him and his family down to one thats open in the morning and get them some dinner. He says god bless you and peddles off to feed his family.
It was nice of him buying me a taco and burrito an all. Sucks that Taco Bell screwed the guy out of two Double Decker Tacos. Hope those cupon things I gave him help out.
Saw Hellboy 2. Cool movie, didnt follow the comics quite as much, but it was still entertaining. The opening sequence reminded me of a Tool music video tho. Nothing much else tho, got another game of Aerotech in earlier, which was fun, but I wish we were able to finish it. Maybe we can try again later. Ran my 4.0 game and just got home. Had fun, the party had an encounter with a 20 story tall undead critter, they managed to kill it in the easy way by finding the Phylactary and destroying that instead of whittling down its six hundred HP.
but things are going well. Went on a dinner date with my sweetie, ate a nice meal at a local sushi bar, and tried some hot Saki for the first time. Dosnt quite have the same kick as most whiskeys Im used to, but it was good. More painted crap coming up eventully. Need to finish off what Im working on.
Celebrating a few hundred years of blowing up crap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDA9NbPAK8o Here is a musical tribute
Ok so I had cashed my check yesterday, and I had bought dinner and a few things, but nothing much. Earlier today I was at an AMPM when these two girls walked up and asked if I could buy them a soda each. I said sure as I was feeling pretty good about life in general. I set the sodas down, turn around and they are gone and my wallet is on the floor, they were nice enough to leave me four F-BOMBING dollars. AMPM manager said he couldnt see their faces on the cameras as they were wearing hats and had long hair, when they walked up they had their heads low so their faces were covered with hair.
So more Aerotech ships have been painted up. Ive got a nice collection going right now, and Fleet Copyright Infringement is being rounded out with acctual Aerotech crap, who wouldve thought! Anyway for those of you who have never played the game before. The game gives you a fleet of stock ships to choose from (however at your earliest convience REDO THE SHIPS!) sorry Catalyst Games, but like...who wants to play a mech/spaceship thats considered a death trap and no other redeeming qualitys? Each turn you designate how much thrust you apply to your ships engines, that denotes your speed, however you have to watch your speed or your ship will fly/drift right off the game map. Ive had that happen with my flag ship in the last game, and while it is endlessly hillarious, it can be annoying when your biggun is out of the game and didnt do as much as it could have combat wise. Once I get the subtle nuances of the game down I will make another post about how the game mechanics differ from Battletech
Decided to remove the background image as it made it hard to read anything, will go through it later on and update it as I can. Anyway, new stuff up in my gallery, some artwork I modded, more Aerotech stuff as well as Battletech. Enjoy
But hey, thats Bakersfield for you. Not much going on really. Been painting up my Aerotech fleet and submitting designs to the guys up on CBT to annoy and piss me off. You know, its the same way at CSO too. I generally post my stuff to get ideas and feedback from people. Hey you like my painted crap, awesome. You think it needs improvement? Tell me why. Dont just say 'blah blah blah, not done because the base isnt finished' and give me some helpfull advice. The Aerotech design guys are too far gone from the whole concept of 'I play the game for fun and I can suspend belife juuuuust long enough to enjoy the game' Its great that they took it this far and came up with some ideas for a game system thats been around about as long as I have been alive, but you know, the ruskies didnt drop the bombs, the world isnt a glowing radioactive wasteland with dudes in hockey masks fighting over gasoline and dog food (as awesome as that would be) so maybe its time to move on a bit and like...enjoy the F-BOMBING game for once? Your playing a game about giant robots in the future who have lightning weapons and magnetic accelerated slugs of metal. Granted the latter is a real peice of equipment the navy is developing at this time, its still a game about a giant godamn robot on an alien world. Our local Battletech crew are a great bunch. Robert, Todd, John, Opeland, and Lance. Great guys to play a game against but the guys on the CSO boards and CBT ... are so far removed from the game aspect that they can no longer enjoy the game like they used to.
So today I managed to get into the Battletech Fleet combat game, Aerotech. Much fun was had, by the end of the game I managed to have my flagship drift off the tables edge, my Yamamoto Battlecruiser allmost ended up drifting off the table, but she was destroyed, which suprised me as it took three heavy battleships three turns to kill it. We won, yet lost if that makes any sense.

Movie review, now with spoilers!!!! But it was a bad flick anyway, so I dont feel bad about spoiling people. Well as my birthday gift from my sweetie we went to go see M Night Shamalamahamakamehameha's latest opus. The Happening.
Ive seen some reviews, Drox has seen reviews here and there.
So far the universal consensus is "Unintentionaly funny" is a good review.
Basic premise of the monster...if you can call it that, you cannot run from the ... WIND ... THE WIND KNOWS ALL!!! THE WIND FEARS NONE!!! YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ... THE WIND!!
or you know, plants are Jesus ... or what ever.
Mark Walla-walla-burgingston looked like a stoned flaming gay ex boy band guy. He had this ... annoyingly sensitive and soft voice that didnt do well for him in the movie.
His wife and or girlfriend looked stoned too, and there were copious ammounts of bored people running from the wind. Plus John "Chicken"leg was a second bannana at least, but they never did describe his relationship with the main characters. He went emo, but he didnt do it properly and went across the road, not down the street.
The death scenes were hillarious, but I guess they were not ment to be funny. The movie was disjointed, and boring.
The Drox gives it a: -5 out of 5 Furloph gives it a : -5 out of Q squared.
