Who said that sun always shines in Italy?? Today is mid summer holiday here, a national holiday, i'm at home and it's raining and temperature dropped.. it seems to be more mid-fall than mid-summer...
I'd be at GenCon rather than over 6000 km away, but one can't have all he wants in life.... I'm spending the day playing inside with my four years old son, trying to finish book six of "the wheel of time series" and looking for news fm GenCon on the web. Particularly useful resource: a twice a day podcast fm the show : "This just in From GenCon" http://feeds.feedburner.com/ThisJustInFromGenCon For those of you that are not in Indianapolis ....

Ok, to start with lets say I'm not so much impressed by d&d4.0 ... Any case the people behind it at wotc will succeed in making me buying the Forgotten Realms updated setting. I just want to see how they will fit in races like the Dragonborns or even better the Tieflings. Will they spoil FR too, with such things that have no ties at all with the game and the setting???

Eventually yesterday i found some time to browse the core rulebooks. It is just my impression or the 4th edition is quite like Windows Vista?? I mean: might be it is better than 3.5 (i seriously doubt this), but very few will be happy with it, once the initial curiosity has passed. For me I have decided to remain faithful to the old horse (3.5), with some improvements ... like True20 or Pathfinder

Here is a link to an article on GameSpy about the new "d&d insider" service that will come along with the 4th edition. For me this service could be an interesting option for the new edition, to get an online tools/environment to play traditional "tabletop" rpg. What do You think?? Does anyone have more information about it to share??
