Have you explored Ave Molech?
Posted On 01/19/2010 14:05:52
The world of Ave Molech is a lore heavy world setting with goblin technicians, magic wielding tiefling, airships, dead gods and people with a metal look. While the setting was created with d20 modern stats and classes, you’ll see many races from 3.5 that have been modified (ps: tiefling were charismatic here years before 4th edition). However, with any lore heavy game, there is enough content that you could plug any town, idea or theme into your own current setting. Perhaps you’re not ready to sink into an entire new setting, Journals provide short, flash-fiction, stories that take place within the world of Ave Molech, but are created for GMs with the intension of incorporating them into your current game. Don’t have a game going on, or looking for some new inspiration for your adventures, Lore may be just the thing for you. Lore are books designed to expand on the stories and people within the world of Ave Molech. While they do not add any additional mechanics to the game, they provide a lot of useful information for those looking to create settings of their own. Not yet sold on the world of Ave Molech? Then curl up with a good book by the fire and read of a mystery involving magic wielding officers, half-demons and betrayal in Gloria Weber’s Gaslight Demons. Totally Random...but...
Posted On 06/30/2009 18:04:47

So I was under the influence the other night and instead of working on Alice as I had planned I jotted down all these ideas I had come into my head about a fast play type of rpg, where each class is a varying type of "pet" class (think WoW Hunter or a Beast Master from FFXI). The classes each use a main pet to fight with (think Pokemon) but the pets are more ability specific, meaning a pet like with bear-like-features would make a good "Tank" while a cat-like pet would make for a better "Damage" type character (think WoW druids). The characters themselves however would be able to interact as well so it's not just animals in the wild or a cage or whatever. In addition, the characters would also be able to merge with their pet so as to do some special limited ability type stuff. There wouldn't be much of a story, just something to do when you have a couple hours with friends on a slow afternoon.

It all seemed very interesting at the time to me and the wify, however, the next day I realized that pokemon on wow crack would probably not be the best idea. Though I was very surprised at how much I had actually written down at the time.

MORBIDGAMES seeks talented writers for new book
Posted On 03/10/2009 14:03:02

MORBIDGAMES is looking for writers of all backgrounds to contribute to Ave Molech Lore: Forgotten Mythos, the second book in the Lore Series due out this summer.

Ave Molech Lore: Forgotten Mythos is a compilation of extended backgrounds on the races, organizations, classes, places, and characters in the world of Ave Molech. It will also feature additional campaign ideas and possibly some fan fiction.

Not only is this a great opportunity for fledgling writers to get their work out in the public and start to build their writing portfolios, but it’s a way for some of the more seasoned writers who enjoy the world of Ave Molech to help expand on one of their favorite games.
